Plato for Windows (Beta)
Behind the scenes, we’ve been hard at work developing Plato for our third platform: Desktop.
Today, the beta of Plato for Windows is publicly available. You can visit https://platoapp.com/desktop to download it.
The Beta represents our vision for the future of Plato: a space to play that spans every device you regularly use. In time, we plan to make it incredibly simple for you to play games with anyone, anywhere, even if they aren’t already a Plato user.
We’re innovating for how we built it as well. Desktop apps can be sluggish to start or to react. Plato Desktop is engineered using Golang and the Gio GUI technology for a more efficient and responsive application. We have invested in these technologies as part of our open-source contributions, aiming to contribute to the broader Desktop app ecosystem.
